Aku/Akwa hand painted tees are made of super soft, quality fabrics, such as 100% cotton. The painted designs are hand painted and the colors are hand mixed, so there are slight variations. Each one is unique! We add new products often, so please check back!

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET MY NEW TEE?
Handpainted will take about 14 days, and printed will take 5 to 7 days. Please expect shipping delays during holidays and other high volume shipping times, and due to the pandemic.
ARE THEY WASHABLE?
Of course! All designs, both painted and printed are heat set so that the design is permanent.
SO...HOW DO YOU WASH AKU/AKWA TEES
Turn your shirt inside out and hand wash cold (for best results) or machine wash cold on gentle cycle and hang to dry or dry flat. AVOID ironing on the painted/printed side of the design - turn it inside out first.
THERE'S A SLIGHT VINEGAR SMELL ON MY NEW PRINTED TEE. WHAT IS IT AND HOW DO I GET RID OF IT?
The slight vinegar scent you smell on the printed tees is a fixing agent to keep the design in place and lasting longer. Don't worry, all you need to do is wash it and the scent is gone!

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?
We hope that you are happy with your new Aku/Akwa product. Our painted shirts are done with love and care, and take many hours to complete. As such, there are no refunds for painted shirts. However, if there is an error, we will be happy to exchange it for another one.
For printed shirts, we will be happy to exchange shirts with errors. Please take a picture of the shirt, with close-ups of any errors, and send to [email protected].
